Bangladesh Defeats Pakistan by 23 Runs in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Warm-Up Match

Dubai: In a closely contested warm-up match at the ICC Academy Oval 2 ground, Bangladesh triumphed over Pakistan by 23 runs ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh batted first and posted a competitive total of 140 runs for losing 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Pakistan’s bowlers, particularly Saadia Iqbal, impressed with her figures of 4 overs, 19 runs, and 2 wickets. Nida Dar also contributed with 3 overs, conceding just 15 runs and claiming one wicket.

Pakistan had earlier lost to Scotland in their first warm-up game on Saturday.

In response, Pakistan struggled with batting, being bowled out for 117 runs in 18.4 overs. Omaima Sohail was the top scorer for Pakistan with 33 runs, while captain Fatima Sana and Gul Feroza added 17 runs each, but it wasn’t enough to chase down the target.

Pakistan’s loss will serve as a learning opportunity as they prepare for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup tournament.
