The England Cricket Board will return to Pakistan soon, ensuring a successful Champions Trophy tournament experience

The England Cricket Board (ECB) has officially announced its return to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, a move that has been eagerly anticipated by both players and fans. ECB Chief Executive Richard Gould recently visited the historic city of Multan, where he toured Qila Kohna Bagh and several sacred sites. During his visit, Gould was photographed standing with pigeons, symbolizing peace and the positive relations between the two nations.

    Statement by ECB Chief:

ECB Chief Richard Gould expressed his gratitude towards the Pakistani hosts, noting that the team’s previous stay in Multan was enjoyable and that the players felt safe throughout. He also mentioned that the Barmy Army, the England team’s loyal fanbase, was delighted with their experience in Pakistan.

The ECB Chairman emphasized that the Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place in Pakistan early next year, around February or March. However, India’s participation remains uncertain. An important ICC meeting on October 19 in Dubai is expected to finalize a hybrid model, which could see India’s matches being played in Dubai rather than in Pakistan.

Despite this uncertainty, there is a possibility that India will play in Pakistan, with matches set to take place in Rawalpindi and Lahore. Originally, all games were to be held in Lahore, but this new claim has added more anticipation to the tournament.

What remains clear, however, is that the Champions Trophy will take place in Pakistan, as confirmed by ECB officials. The tournament, scheduled for 2025, promises to bring exciting cricket action to Pakistani fans and international spectators alike.
