DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has expressed its approval of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s preparations for the upcoming Champions Trophy, according to sources reported by Geo News.
During the recent ICC board meeting, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presented a detailed report confirming that renovation work at all three proposed venues will be completed ahead of the tournament, which is set to take place in February next year.
Naqvi also extended an invitation to the ICC board members to visit Pakistan for a firsthand assessment of the preparations and arrangements for this highly anticipated event.
In addition to discussing the Champions Trophy, the ICC board reviewed the tenure of the ICC Chair and Independent Director roles, suggesting an adjustment of terms to a duration of two to three years. The final decision on this matter will await approval from ICC membership.

Moreover, Scott Vennink was appointed as a representative for Full Members on the ICC Men’s Cricket Committee, while Scott Edwards was designated as the representative for Associate Members. Dr. John MacLean has taken over the role of Dr. Roger Hawkes on the Medical Advisory Committee.
