    In a moment that will be etched in the annals of cricket history, Kamran Ghulam scored a remarkable century on his Test debut at Multan Cricket Stadium, fulfilling a 15-year-long dream and showcasing the resilience and passion that define cricket in Pakistan.

    “Today is the day I have waited 15 years for. I am so excited!”

    Reflecting on his journey, Kamran expressed immense joy and gratitude, saying, “Today was a day I had been waiting for 15 years. I am thrilled.” Having faced the rigorous challenges of first-class cricket, he was determined to make a mark when called to replace Babar Azam, who had been dropped from the squad. “When I came in, there was a lot of pressure, but I vowed to play a big innings,” he recalled. His unwavering focus and commitment shone through, particularly after surpassing the nervous 90-run mark. “Once I went past 90, I felt no worries; I just focused on the game,” he added.

    Kamran’s century scored in a challenging situation where Pakistan was struggling at 19 for 2, is not just a personal triumph but a testament to his dedication. “The 16 centuries in first-class cricket helped me,” he noted, acknowledging the support from friends and family throughout his journey. His family’s celebration in their hometown of Upper Dir was incredibly emotional, filled with joyous gunfire and tears in their eyes.

    Babar Azam’s Support and Praise

    Babar Azam, who watched the match from home, sent his best wishes to Kamran, stating,

    “I am happy that a batter scored a century for Pakistan during a tough time and achieved this milestone on debut.”

    His kind words reflect the camaraderie and sportsmanship within the team, despite the personal disappointment of being dropped.

    A Historic Moment for Pakistan Cricket

    Kamran Ghulam’s century places him among a select group of players to have scored a hundred on their Test debut, becoming the 13th Pakistani to achieve this feat.
