PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed optimism that Pakistan’s team, under the leadership of Mohammad Rizwan, will perform admirably on the tours of Australia and Zimbabwe.
Prior to the team’s departure, Naqvi met with white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan and vice-captain Salman Ali Agha in Lahore. He conveyed his best wishes to both leaders, emphasizing the honor and responsibility of leading the white-ball team. Naqvi highlighted the high hopes the nation has for the team’s performance under Rizwan’s leadership in these crucial series.

He commended the skillful professionals in the squad and expressed confidence that the team would deliver excellent results in Australia and Zimbabwe. “Unity and fighting till the last ball are key to success; if the team plays as one, no one can defeat you,” he stated.
In response, Rizwan and Agha expressed their gratitude for Naqvi’s trust, with Rizwan assuring that the team is committed to meeting the expectations of the nation. “We’re fully prepared to give our best during the tours of Australia and Zimbabwe,” he added.
Meanwhile, seven members of the Pakistan squad, including Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Babar Azam, and Haris Rauf, have already arrived in Melbourne as the first group of players. The remaining squad members, along with fielding coach Mohammad Masroor, are set to depart from Karachi tonight.
Pakistan will play a series of three ODIs and three T20Is against Australia, with the ODI series commencing on November 4.
