The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to send selectors with the national team on foreign tours.
Sources indicate that selector Asad Shafiq will accompany the national team to Zimbabwe and may also join the team for the tour of Australia.
According to sources, the decision to have a selector present on tours was made to assist in forming the playing eleven.

Asad Shafiq will assess the pitch and conditions and consult with other selectors. The selectors will then collaborate with the captain and coach to finalize the playing eleven.
