After being apprehended by Chris Woakes, Salman Ali Agha claimed to have been clear of trouble. “The umpires stopped me while I was making my way back to the pavilion. I was not sure at the time if I was out or not, but I was pretty sure I was fired. It was an excellent catch, and I trusted the fielder when he said I was out. However, the umpires reviewed it and said that I could continue batting because the fielder’s foot had touched the boundary, so I was given another chance, which is how my innings became a century.”
Salman responded, “I can not say anything because I have not seen the footage yet,” when asked if the umpire’s ruling was correct. I will remark once I have seen it. After Pakistan and England’s first Test match at the Multan Cricket Stadium entered its second day, Salman Ali Agha was speaking at a press conference.
Salman added, “There are cracks forming on the pitch,” in response to another question. “At the moment, the pitch is still in good shape, but I believe that bigger cracks will show up tomorrow night or the following day, at which point the ball will begin to spin. Regarding the outcome of the game, I think there will be a conclusion, but I am not sure which way it will go. A team with a score of more than 550 is typically in a stronger position.”
When asked if his team could lose even though they scored 500+ runs, as other teams had done against England, Salman showed his confidence by saying, “I firmly believe that this time we will change the result.”
Salman said, “I did not plan anything in advance, like targeting spinners or scoring quickly,” when discussing his century at Multan Cricket Stadium. There was no special planning, not even during the lunch break. It was me going about my natural game. It was not a deliberate tactic, but I managed to score more runs against the spinners I found easier. I have always played aggressively against spinners; it is just the way I am. By the grace of Allah, I accomplished my century, and I was sure I would perform well.”

Salman agreed that England’s batting style is aggressive, saying, “That is their style, and they will play that way.” We will be on the lookout for any errors they make and attempt to take advantage of them because they, too, will be aiming for a result. We are going to try our hardest.”
